Gandolfo Gardens trees axed despite vocal community protest

At 5am this monrning LXRP contractors John Holland and Active Tree Services moved in to Gandolfo Gardens with a dozen members of the Victoria Police. The Munro Street Signal Box, constructed in 1928, is under threat of demolition by the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP). Heritage Victoria have placed an interim protection order on this building and other infrastructure requiring LXRP to apply for permission for the demolition of this infrastructure.
